Cannot Install Adobe CS3 (Creative Suite 3) or Adobe Acrobat 8
“Activation – No Connection” or “Internet Connection Not Detected”
Why Can’t I Install Adobe CS3?
According to Adobe,
the aging activation servers for Creative Suite 3 (CS3) and Acrobat 8 applications had to be retired. Without activation servers, CS3 and Acrobat 8 applications display a connection error when trying to verify a license.
So, there are several Adobe applications to which this applies. They the CS3 versions of the following:
- Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Flash Professional
- Acrobat 8 Standard, Professional, and 3D*
*Acrobat isn’t labeled as a “CS3” version, but it uses the same activation servers, so it is included here.
Cannot Install Adobe CS3 – Solution
Since servers for Creative Suite 3 (CS3) applications were retired, there is no way to activate the original version of the software, even with a valid license. However, you can get a new serial number. This new serial number uses a new installer, which you can also get from Adobe. The new installer does not require activation. To get it, you will have to have an Adobe ID. If you already have one, sign in below using it. If not, click on the Create Adobe ID link to create your Adobe account first
You can also get a special price on an Upgrade, and that’s great, but I don’t consider that a “solution”. It is something you may want to consider though.
Create or Sign in With Adobe ID
These are the links to either log in with or create an Adobe ID and complete the process for requesting a new serial number and installer.
